Welcome!
St Andrew's Geraldine

Thank you for visiting us.

We are an all-age family church with a range of ministries and services into our local community. We have a passion above all else to serve God’s purposes here in South Canterbury and we would love you to come and check us out this Sunday.

Our Mission Statement
"Glorifying and enjoying God together.
Growing God's Kingdom through Jesus transforming lives.
Going to all people because they are special to God."
"Glorify ... Grow ... Go."

We want to achieve our vision by calling people to faith, supporting them to change, and coaching and commissioning them to serve in the areas they feel called to.

Walking with Christ is a journey and we acknowledge that nobody is perfect, but we seek to take this journey together. This year we look forward to growing in love towards our creator, towards each other and towards our community here in South Canterbury which we are privileged to be part of.

At St Andrew’s we have a love for God’s Word and teaching from God's Word forms a key part of our services. Our scriptural text for 2023 is  Romans 6:22-23 “But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Whether you are new to the Geraldine community or have lived here for some time, we welcome you to join us in our fellowship on Sundays, through various ministries, and home groups throughout each week. If you have questions or unsure about what church might be like, contact our leadership team members or just turn up to “spectate”. We'd love to see you.

Confession of Faith

•One sovereign God – Father, Son, and  Holy Spirit.

•The divine inspiration of Holy Scriptures and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

•Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God –conceived of the Holy Spirit, became a man, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and is now exalted at the right hand of the Father.

•The sinfulness of all human beings and our individual need for salvation.

•The loving grace of God to be received through faith in Jesus.

The need for the Holy Spirit to bring us to repentance, faith, and new life, and to transform and empower us.

•The universal Church, the body of Christ to which all true believers belong.

•The call to all believers to live a holy life in obedience to God.

•The responsibility of the Church to proclaim the Good News of Christ to a lost world and serve others in His name.

•The return of Jesus, and in eternal life for all who belong to Him.
